Multilingual Voice Support

Makers can now use voice commands to log inventory and batch records in multiple languages.

What Changed

If you use voice commands to log inventory, record batch notes, or add items to your shopping list, the app now understands you in English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and French — including local ingredient names and currency amounts.

Expanded Global Currency and Regional Features

Francophone African regions now have customized currency, metric, and AI response support.

Before: Voice commands only worked reliably in English. Saying "quinientos gramos de aceite de coco" or "cinquenta reais de manteiga de karíté" would either fail to parse or return incorrect results.

Now: The voice assistant recognizes common ingredient names in Spanish, Portuguese, and French and maps them to the correct inventory items automatically. Currency amounts spoken in local terms — "quinientos pesos," "cinquenta reais," "mille francs CFA" — are parsed correctly and stored in your account currency.

This works across all voice-enabled features: Inventory Capture, Batch Voice Notes, Shopping List, Sales Voice Logger, and the Inventory Voice Command.

Also: Francophone Africa Now Supported

Makers in Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Morocco, Tunisia, Benin, and Burkina Faso can now set their country in Settings and get the correct currency (XOF, XAF, CDF, MAD, or TND), metric units, and French-language AI responses automatically.

The CFA Franc's fixed peg to the Euro is also built into the AI context, so pricing advice accounts for the real relationship between local and European supplier costs.
