Add Items to Your Shopping List with Your Voice

Add ingredients to your shopping list hands-free by saying "Hey Maker Studio" — no typing, no stopping what you're doing.

June 22, 2026

What Changed

Adding ingredients to your shopping list used to mean stopping what you were doing, washing your hands, and typing each item one at a time. Now you can do it while your hands are full.

Before: You had to open the Shopping List page, tap the add form, and type each ingredient name, quantity, and unit separately.

Now: A microphone button sits in the top-right corner of the Shopping List page. Tap it, say "Hey Maker Studio" followed by what you need, and the item is added instantly — no typing required.

How It Works

  1. Go to Shopping List
  2. Tap the microphone icon in the top-right corner
  3. A listening session opens — wait for the pulsing indicator
  4. Say "Hey Maker Studio" followed by your request
  5. Your item is parsed, matched to your existing inventory categories, and added to the list

Example Phrases

You say What gets added
"Hey Maker Studio, add Waikiki Beach fragrance 4 ounces" Waikiki Beach fragrance — 4 oz
"Hey Maker Studio, I need sodium hydroxide 2 pounds and distilled water one gallon" Two items added in one command
"Hey Maker Studio, add cocoa butter 8 oz and shea butter 8 oz" Both items added at once

What If an Item Isn't Recognized?

If the AI can't match an item to your existing inventory, it appears in an amber "Not found" queue below the session. You can tap Add to List to add it anyway, or Skip to dismiss it.

When to Use This
